The Role:
As a member of our Front of House team, you’ll be the face of Riverstone Kitchen—welcoming guests, taking orders, serving food and drinks, and ensuring every visitor enjoys a memorable experience. Whether you're looking to build a career in hospitality or just love working with people, we offer hands-on experience in a fast-paced, fun environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide warm, professional service with genuine care and enthusiasm
Greet and seat guests, manage bookings, and maintain a smooth flow of service
Take orders and communicate effectively with the kitchen and bar teams
Serve food and beverages with attention to detail and timing
Keep the dining area clean, tidy, and beautifully presented
Work collaboratively with the team to ensure a seamless guest experience
What We’re Looking For:
A passion for hospitality and creating great guest experiences
Friendly, confident communication skills and a can-do attitude
A reliable team player who thrives in a busy environment
Previous experience is a bonus, but not essential, we’ll train the right people
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays

Riverstone Kitchen is a vibrant and busy restaurant with a dedicated team, passionate about delivering a high-quality food and dining experience.
Situated in rural Otago, 15km north of Oamaru, Riverstone Kitchen creates its menu based around the seasonal produce sourced from its extensive kitchen gardens and local suppliers. Our food is simple, full of flavour and delivered with exceptional quality and care.
Everything is made on site, from scratch, including bread, pastry, ice cream, stocks, sauces, sausages, bacon – we do it all! We also breakdown all our lambs in house along with the occasional pig and beef cow. If you want variety in your workday – we have it.
